Propping for food, still life and interiors.

I'm Max. With over eight years’ experience, working previously in costume to current day as a prop stylist.

Working across multiple platforms including editorial, advertorial, publishing, social & digital content. I’ve worked with magazines such as BBC Good Food, Olive, Good Housekeeping, Woman & Home, Women’s Weekly, Waitrose Mag & You Mag. Styled books for publishers including Phiadon, Ryland Peters & Small, Harper Collins, Hardie Grant & Quadrille. Advertorials through agencies such as Adam & Eve and Whippet. Aswell as working with supermarkets Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and M&S. Whatever the platform or brief I love to do what I do and that is to be part of the procress in creating beautiful imagery.

Whether pottering or perusing at car boots, antique markets or on the King's Road, I love finding, exploring and discovering. I am happiest setting 'the scene' and being with family and friends, enjoying good food and a glass of wine together, a’la Keith Floyd.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss projects and work.

The Cosgrove Hall Film archive was set up in 2017 by an ex-development producer, Westley Wood and with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund in partnership with Creative Industries Trafford.

Located at the Waterside Arts Venue in Sale, Manchester. A detailed archive to the works of my grandfather, Mark Hall and his business partner, Brian Cosgrove. From Danger Mouse, Wind in the Willows, the BFG, Count Duckla and more - a platform preserving the imaginative work from both them and all the animators and creatives of Cosgrove Hall Films.
